Starting a gaming job during the COVID-19 pandemic: Kwalee’s new starters share their experiences

Throughout the coronavirus pandemic, we’ve been lucky to be able to continue working safely with relatively few interruptions, while so many in other industries have not found a gaming job yet. 

 

We have spent the last few months working from home, of course, but have been able to keep working together through online platforms. More importantly, we’ve continued developing and releasing new games for millions of players who are regularly looking for games to play.

 

Kwalee and COVID-19: How Are We Adapting

While we feel very fortunate to be in an industry where our team can work safely from home with relatively few disruptions, and that our players can continue to access and play our games during these testing times, we have also had to adapt in a number of ways.

 

As such, here we are answering some of the key questions being asked of us about how we are working right now and what that could mean for you.

Meet Our New Head of Ad Monetisation: Dilpesh Parmar

Kwalee has begun 2020 with some explosive growth, and now we’re delighted to have added yet more experience in the form of Dilpesh Parmar, our new Head of Ad Monetisation.

 

A well-respected figure in his field, Dilpesh has been in the advertisement optimisation industry since 2008. His time in the industry includes six years at Talking Tom creators Outfit7, where he played a key role as the company surpassed 10 billion downloads. He also spent time at the music discovery platform Shazam, and latterly as the COO of mobile ad network IQzone.
