We’re delighted to announce that Kwalee has reached 100 team members across the world!
This is a milestone that would be significant for any company, but it feels particularly special here. The past two years in particular have made Kwalee what it is today, this being the period in which we have established ourselves as a global leader in Hyper Casual games and raced to nearly half a billion downloads globally.
We were extremely excited last month to announce TENS!, our first-ever PC & console game. Today that excitement is even greater as we announce that the brain-teasing sudoku game variant will be launching for Nintendo Switch on the 5th of November – and will also be coming to Steam for PC and Mac on the same date!

If you’ve been tuned into PAX Online, you might have seen the announcement trailer for our upcoming sudoku game variant TENS! during the Nintendo Life Indie Spotlight.
To recap, TENS! is an incredibly satisfying puzzle game that smartly combines familiar block-dropping gameplay with a Sudoku game style mechanic. Allocated different combinations of dice to fit onto the game board, players can rotate these shapes to maximum effect with the aim of totalling exactly 10 in any row or column.
It’s often assumed that, when making a game prototype, contacting a publisher comes at the very end of the game development process, once the game is largely complete and nicely polished.
But while this instinct is understandable for developers who naturally want to show off their game in the best possible light, it’s actually a major misconception that could end up wasting a lot of unnecessary time and preventing you from accessing the help needed to make your game better and more successful.
2020 has been a big and extremely busy year for us here at Kwalee, with the launch of more chart-topping games, our publishing partnership with Buildbox and the opening of our new Bengaluru studio in India.
After the brilliant success of our first game jam together and embarking on a long-term partnership, our most recent challenge to the Buildbox community was a game jam with the theme of ‘Prototypes’.
Using Buildbox, the no-code game development platform, participants use 3 days to create the best possible Hyper Casual game prototypes to impress a panel of judges from our publishing team.

Well, so do we! Not only are many of us here at Kwalee huge fans of all kinds of games, from triple-A titles to innovative indies and Hyper Casual hits, we are actively encouraged to play a wide variety of games across all platforms to inspire the very best and most creative Hyper casual output.
